Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (pronounced NOH-vitch) is an Canadian actress from Canada. Her roles include Andy Jensen, on ABC Family's Kyle XY, and Lacy Rand, who is on Syfy's sluggish science fiction drama Caprica. Emily Hartwell (born Maya Hartwell), is her sci-fi series Continuum. Recently, she was spotted as Sandy on the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is from Polish origin and lived for an entire year in Poland in the ninth grade. She lived there with her uncle and went to an elementary school in Jelenia Gora. She went on to attend Vancouver Film School. She started her acting career at the age of 10, when her brother introduced her to Pulp Fiction. In 2002, she began her first acting appearances on the TV series Jeremiah. She was also a guest in John Doe's TV series. From 2007 to 2009, she played the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. In 2008, she starred as Andy Jensen in Every Second Counts on the Hallmark Channel. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast to portray Lacy Rand on Caprica's popular television drama with Eric Stoltz & Alessandra Turresani. Later, she appeared in the show Hellcats. In 2012, she was a guest star in Jane Espenson’s second season, romance web series Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the show Continuum. She was also Samantha in The Green Inferno horror film by Eli Roth. The Green Inferno, although it was made in 2012, was released internationally in the year 2015. Apanowicz was cast to play Angela in Volition which is a science-fiction thriller film. It came out in 2020. In the year 2019, Apanowicz was cast as Sandy in the second season of the Netflix thriller You.
